1/2 Hizb 35
< random >
I told them, "Messengers, eat from the pure things and act righteously; I know all that you do. 51 Your religion is but one religion -- and I am your only Lord, therefore, fear Me. 52 But people have cut off their affair (of unity), between them, into sects: each party rejoices in that which is with itself. 53 So leave them immersed in their heedlessness till an appointed time. 54 Do they think that We enlarge them in wealth and children, 55 We are busy lavishing on them all kinds of good? Nay, they do not perceive the reality of the matter. 56 Those who tremble in fear of their Lord, 57 and believe in His messages 58 who consider nothing equal to their Lord, 59 and those who give what they give, their hearts quaking that they are returning to their Lord -- 60 it is they who vie with one another in doing good works, and it is they who outrun [all others] in attaining to them! 61 We charge not any soul save to its capacity, and with Us is a Book speaking truth, and they shall not be wronged. 62 Nay, but their hearts are in ignorance of this (Qur'an), and they have other works, besides, which they are doing; 63 Till when We grasp their luxurious ones with the punishment, behold! they supplicate. 64 We shall tell them, "Do not cry for help on this day; you will receive none from Us". 65 My revelations were recited unto you, but ye used to turn back on your heels, 66 [and,] impelled by your arrogance, you would talk senselessly far into the night." 67 Pondered they not over the Word? or came there unto them that which came not unto their fathers ancient? 68 Or did you not recognize your Messenger and, thus, denied him (Muhammad) 69 Or they say, “He is afflicted by a demon”; in fact he brought the Truth to them, and most of them dislike the Truth. 70 Had the truth followed their fancies, the heavens, the earth, and all who live in them would have surely been corrupted. No, We brought them their Remembrance; but from their Remembrance they turn away. 71 Or dost thou ask of them (O Muhammad) any tribute? But the bounty of thy Lord is better, for He is Best of all who make provision. 72 Assuredly thou art calling them to a straight path; 73 And lo! those who believe not in the Hereafter are indeed astray from the path. 74 ۞ Were We to be merciful to them and remove from them their present afflictions, they would persist in their transgression, blindly wandering on. 75 And assuredly We took hold of them with the torment, yet they humbled not themselves to their Lord, nor did they entreat. 76 So that when at last We open up the gate of severe punishment on them they will be overwhelmed with despair. 77

Notes and Instructions
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
