O Ye apostles! eat the good things and work righteously; verily of that which ye work I am the Knower. 51 This community of yours is one community, and I am your Lord; so hold Me alone in fear. 52 But their nations broke their tasks into pieces; every group happy with what it has. 53 But leave them alone, lost in their ignorance, until a [future] time. 54 Do they think that because We have granted them abundance of wealth and sons, 55 We are hastening to reward them for good deeds? No. They do not comprehend. 56 Surely those who live in awe of their Lord, 57 And they who believe in the signs of their Lord 58 who associate none with their Lord in His Divinity, 59 Who give whatsoever they give (in His way), and their hearts tremble with fear that they have to go back to their Lord, 60 These race for the good things, and they shall win them in the race. 61 And We tax not any person except according to his capacity, and with Us is a Record which speaks the truth, and they will not be wronged. 62 NAY, [as for those who have torn asunder the unity of faith] - their hearts are lost in ignorance of all this! But apart from that [breach of unity] they have [on their conscience even worse] deeds; and they will [continue to] commit them 63 So that when We seize the affluent among them with affliction, they will begin to implore for help. 64 Invoke not loudly this day! Certainly, you shall not be helped by Us. 65 Surely My signs have been rehearsed unto you, and upon your heel ye were wont to draw back. 66 "In arrogance: talking nonsense about the (Qur'an), like one telling fables by night." 67 Was it that you did not give any thought to it (the Quran)? Was it different from what was revealed to your fathers? 68 Or did they not recognise their apostle, and rejected him? 69 Or, say they: in him is madness? O Aye he brought them the truth, and most of them to the truth are averse. 70 And should the truth follow their low desires, surely the heavens and the earth and all those who are therein would have perished. Nay! We have brought to them their reminder, but from their reminder they turn aside. 71 Do you (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) ask any fee from them? So the reward of your Lord is the best; and He is the Best Provider of Sustenance. 72 You are calling them to a Straight Way, 73 And verily those who believe not in the Hereafter are deviating from that Way. 74 ۞ And though We had mercy on them and removed the distress which is on them, still they would obstinately persist in their transgression, wandering blindly. 75 We had seized them with the punishment, but they did not bow before their Lord nor turned to Him in humility, 76 Until, when We open for them the gate of extreme punishment, behold! they are aghast thereat. 77
