Al-Mu' minoon 5 of 6
It is He who gave you hearing, sight, and hearts, but only few of you give thanks. 78 It is God who has settled you on the earth and before Him you will all be assembled. 79 He is the One who gives life and causes death and He controls the alternation of night and day. Will you not then understand? 80 On the contrary, they said the same as what the former people used to say. 81 They say: "Is it that when we are dead and have been reduced to dust and bones, shall we then be raised up again? 82 We were promised such things and so were our forefathers before us. All these are no more than tales of the past." 83 Say: "Unto whom belongs the earth and all that lives there on? [Tell me this] if you happen to know [the answer]!" 84 They will say: "To God." Say: "Then why do you not bethink yourselves?" 85 Say: Who is Lord of the seven heavens, and Lord of the Tremendous Throne? 86 They will surely say: God. Say thou: will ye not then fear? 87 Say, "In whose hand is the realm of all things - and He protects while none can protect against Him - if you should know?" 88 They will say: (This is) Allah's. Say: From whence are you then deceived? 89 We have sent them the Truth: but they indeed practise falsehood! 90 No son did Allah beget, nor is there any god along with Him: (if there were many gods), behold, each god would have taken away what he had created, and some would have lorded it over others! Glory to Allah! (He is free) from the (sort of) things they attribute to Him! 91 [He is] Knower of the unseen and the witnessed, so high is He above what they associate [with Him]. 92

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
