Is the case of those to whom We have promised good things - which they will certainly receive in the life to come - equal to the case of those to whom We have granted the means of enjoyment in the worldly life and who will certainly be questioned about them in the life to come? 61 (Let them not forget) that the Day when Allah will call unto them, and say: "Where are those whom you imagined to be My associates?" 62 [whereupon] they against whom the word [of truth] shall thus stand revealed will exclaim: O our Sustainer! Those whom we caused to err so grievously, we but caused to err as we ourselves had been erring. We [now] disavow them before Thee: it was not us that they worshipped!" 63 Then they will be told, "Call upon your partners." And they will call upon them, but will receive no answer. They shall witness the punishment. If only they had allowed themselves to be guided. 64 That Day (Allah) will call to them, and say: "What was the answer ye gave to the messengers?" 65 Then they will not be able to think of any reply, nor will they be able to ask one another. 66 But those who repented and believed and acted righteously, they will perhaps be among those who will prosper there. 67 And thy Lord createth whatsoever He listeth and chooseth; no choice is to be for them. Hallowed be Allah and exalted above that which they associate! 68 And your Lord knows what their breasts conceal, and what they reveal. 69 He is the only God and it is only He who deserves to be given thanks in this world and in the life to come. Judgment is in His hands and to Him you will all return. 70 (O Prophet), tell them: "Did you consider: if Allah were to make the night perpetual over you till the Day of Judgement, is there a god other than Allah who can bring forth light for you? Do you not hear?" 71 Say: "Did you consider: if Allah were to make the day become perpetual over you till the Day of Judgement, is there a god other than Allah who can bring in night for you that you may repose in it? Will you not see?" 72 It is of His mercy He hath appointed for you night and day, that therein ye may have repose, and that ye may seek of His grace, and that haply ye may give thanks. 73 And on the Day He shall call out to them and say, "Where are those whom you alleged were My partners." 74 We shall take out from every community a witness and We shall say: come forth with your proof; then they shall know that the truth was Allah's, and astray will go from them that which they were wont to fabricate. 75
