Have you not seen that all those who are in the heavens and the earth, and the birds on the wing, sing the praises of God. Each one knows its obligations and its duties, and God knows whatever they do. 41 And for Allah only is the kingship of the heavens and the earth; and towards Allah is the return. 42 Seest thou not that Allah makes the clouds move gently, then joins them together, then makes them into a heap? - then wilt thou see rain issue forth from their midst. And He sends down from the sky mountain masses (of clouds) wherein is hail: He strikes therewith whom He pleases and He turns it away from whom He pleases, the vivid flash of His lightning well-nigh blinds the sight. 43 It is Allah Who alternates the Night and the Day: verily in these things is an instructive example for those who have vision! 44 God created every moving thing from water: One crawls on its belly, one walks on two legs, another moves on four. God creates whatsoever He will. Indeed God has power over everything. 45 We have surely sent down clear signs. It is God who guides whom He will to the path that is straight. 46 And they say: We believe in Allah and in the apostle and we obey; then a party of them turn back after this, and these are not believers. 47 And [so it is that] whenever they are summoned unto God and His Apostle in order that [the divine writ] might judge between them, lo! some of them turn away; 48 but if the truth happens to be to their liking, they are quite willing to accept it! 49 What, is there sickness in their hearts, or are they in doubt, or do they fear that God may be unjust towards them and His Messenger? Nay, but those -- they are the evildoers. 50
