۞ And those who look not for a meeting with Us say: Why are angels not sent down unto us and (Why) do we not see our Lord! Assuredly they think too highly of themselves and are scornful with great pride. 21 On the day when they behold the angels, on that day there will be no good tidings for the guilty; and they will cry: A forbidding ban! 22 And We turned all the deeds they had performed into scattered floating specks of dust. 23 And for the People of the Garden on that day is a better destination and account, and a better place of afternoon rest. 24 On that Day, the heaven is split asunder with clouds and the angels are sent down in majesty, 25 The real sovereignty will belong to Ar-Rahman. How grievous will be the day for the infidels! 26 And the day when the unjust will gnaw his hands, saying, “Alas, if only I had chosen a way along with the (Noble) Messenger (of Allah)!” 27 “Woe to me – alas, if only I had not taken that one for a friend.” 28 He verily led me astray from the Reminder after it had reached me. Satan was ever man's deserter in the hour of need. 29 And the Apostle will say: my Lord! verily my people took this Qur'an as a thing to be shunned. 30 Even so We have appointed to every Prophet an enemy among the sinners; but thy Lord suffices as a guide and as a helper. 31 And those who disbelieve say: "Why is not the Quran revealed to him all at once?" Thus (it is sent down in parts), that We may strengthen your heart thereby. And We have revealed it to you gradually, in stages. (It was revealed to the Prophet SAW in 23 years.). 32 Every time they raise an objection, We will bring you the truth and the best of explanations. 33 Those who will be dragged headlong into Hell shall have an evil place to dwell in, for they have strayed far from the right path. 34
