The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ TaSeenMeem. 1 These are revelations of the Scripture that maketh plain. 2 (O Muhammad), you will perhaps grieve yourself to death because these people do not believe. 3 But if We had so willed, We could have sent down to them a sign from the heavens so that their heads would be bowed down before it in utter humility. 4 A fresh remembrance has never come to them from the Merciful, except they turn away from it. 5 thus, indeed, have they given the lie (to this message as well). But [in time] they will come to understand what it was that they were wont to deride! 6 What, have they not regarded the earth, how many therein We have caused to grow of every generous kind? 7 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 8 Your Lord is the Majestic and the All-merciful. 9
