And when thy Lord called to Moses, 'Go to the people of the evildoers, 10 The people of Pharaoh. Will they not fear and take heed?" 11 'My Lord' he replied, 'I fear they will belie me 12 My heart is constrained, my tongue falters, so delegate Aaron; 13 “And they have an accusation against me, so I fear that they may kill me.” 14 (It was) said: "By no means. Go with My signs, both of you. I am verily with you and I hear. 15 Then come to Firon and say: Surely we are the apostles of the Lord of the worlds: 16 so send forth with us the Children of Israel." 17 Fir'awn said: brought we not thee up amongst us as a child? And thou tarriedst amongst us for many years of thy life? 18 And you commited what you did, and you are ungrateful!" 19 He said: I did it then when I was mistaken. 20 I fled from you because I feared you. But my Lord has given me judgment and made me one of the Messengers. 21 "And this is the past favour with which you reproach me, that you have enslaved the Children of Israel." 22 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "And what is the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)?" 23 Said Moosa, “Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them; if you believe.” 24 The Pharaoh said to the people around him, "Did you hear that?" 25 He said: Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers. 26 (Pharaoh) said: 'Surely, the Messenger who has been sent to you is mad!' 27 Musa (Moses) said: "Lord of the east and the west, and all that is between them, if you did but understand!" 28 (Pharaoh) said: "If thou dost put forward any god other than me, I will certainly put thee in prison!" 29 'What, even if I brought you something clear' said he (Moses). 30 Pharaoh said, "Show it then, if you are telling the truth!" 31 Moses threw his staff and suddenly it became a serpent. 32 And he drew out his hand, and it appeared [shining] white to the beholders. 33
