The people of Noah [too] gave the lie to [one of God's] message-bearers 105 Behold, their brother Noah said to them: "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 106 Lo! I am a faithful messenger unto you, 107 "So fear Allah, keep your duty to Him, and obey me. 108 And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds. 109 So fear Allah and obey me. 110 ۞ They said: Shall we put faith in thee, when the lowest (of the people) follow thee? 111 He said: I have no knowledge of that which they have been Working. 112 Their reckoning is upon my Lord, if ye but knew. 113 "And I am not going to drive away the believers. 114 I am only a plain admonisher." 115 They said, "If you do not desist, O Noah, you will surely be of those who are stoned." 116 He said: My Lord! Lo! my own folk deny me. 117 So pass a clear judgement between me and them and rescue me and the believers with me." 118 So We delivered him and those with him in the loaded ark, 119 And drowned the rest of them. 120 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 121 And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. 122
