The people of Noah cried lies to the Envoys 105 when their brother Noah said to them, 'Will you not be godfearing? 106 I have been sent as a trusted messenger to you. 107 “Therefore fear Allah, and obey me.” 108 I ask no payment from you for my preaching. The Lord of the Universe will give me my reward. 109 Hence, remain conscious of God, and pay heed unto me!" 110 ۞ They answered: "Shall we accept you even though it is the meanest of people who follow you?" 111 He said: "And what do I know as to what they do? 112 My Lord alone can bring them to account, if only you could understand, 113 And I am not one to drive away the believers. 114 I am only a plain admonisher." 115 They said: "If you do not desist, O Noah, you will be stoned to death." 116 He said: My Lord! Surely my people give me the lie! 117 Therefor judge Thou between us, a (conclusive) judgment, and save me and those believers who are with me. 118 Thereafter We rescued him and those who were with him in the laden Ark 119 afterwards, We drowned the rest. 120 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 121 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 122
