The people of Lut belied the sent ones. 160 When their brother Lot said to them, "Will you not fear Allah? 161 "Verily! I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 162 Therefore guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me: 163 And I ask of you no hire therefor; my hire is but with the Lord of the worlds. 164 What! do you come to the males from among the creatures 165 And leave ye your spouses your Lord hath created for you? Aye! ye are a people trespassing. 166 They said: "If you cease not. O Lout (Lot)! Verily, you will be one of those who are driven out!" 167 He said, "I certainly hate what you practice. 168 My Lord! Save me and my household from what they do. 169 Thereupon We saved him and all his household 170 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 171 then We destroyed the others. 172 and We rained on them a rain; and evil is the rain of them that are warned. 173 In this there is an evidence of the Truth, but many of them did not have any faith. 174 But, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace! 175
