Indeed this is a revelation from the Lord of the Universe; 192 trustworthy divine inspiration has alighted with it from on high 193 Upon your heart (O Muhammad SAW) that you may be (one) of the warners, 194 in a clear, Arabic tongue. 195 And verily it is in the Scriptures of the ancients. 196 Is it not a sign to them that the learned men of the Israelites know it? 197 And if We had revealed it (this Quran) unto any of the non-Arabs, 198 So that he should have recited it to them, they would not have believed therein. 199 Thus have We inserted disbelief into the hearts of the criminals. 200 They will not believe in it until they see the painful punishment. 201 that will come upon them [on resurrection,] all of a sudden, without their being aware [of its approach]; 202 Then they will say: Are we to be reprieved? 203 Do they wish to hasten Our punishment? 204 Just think: If We let them enjoy (the good things of life) for a few years more, 205 and thereupon that [chastisement] which they were promised befalls them 206 of what avail to them will be all their past enjoyments? 207 Never have We destroyed a habitation till We had sent admonishers to them 208 For reminder, for We never were oppressors. 209 The devils did not bring it down: 210 They are not worthy of it, nor have they power. 211 Verily far from hearing are they removed. 212 (Muhammad), do not worship anything besides God lest you suffer the punishment. 213 Warn your tribe and your near kinsmen. 214 And lower your wing to those who follow you of the believers. 215 then, if they disobey thee, say, 'I am quit of that you do.' 216 And rely upon (Allah) the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 217 Who seeth thee when thou standest up (to pray) 218 And your movement among those who prostrate. 219 Lo! He, only He, is the Hearer, the Knower. 220 Shall I inform you (O people!) upon whom the Shayatin (devils) descend? 221 They descend on every lying (one who tells lies), sinful person. 222 Who listens to you (for spreading rumours); but most of them are liars. 223 And as for the poets -- it is the misled who follow them. 224 See you not that they speak about every subject (praising others right or wrong) in their poetry? 225 and that they [so often] say what they do not do [or feel]? 226 The righteously striving believers among them who remember God very often and use their talent to seek help after they have been wronged are the exceptional. The unjust will soon know how terrible their end will be. 227
