Truly, it is the sending of the Lord of the Worlds. 192 The Trustworthy Spirit brought it down. (Angel Jibreel peace be upon him.) 193 into your heart, so that you may be a warner, 194 in clear Arabic speech. 195 And verily, [the essence of] this [revelation] is indeed found in the ancient books of divine wisdom [as well]. 196 Is it not evidence enough for them that [so many] learned men from among the children of Israel have recognized this [as true]? 197 Had We revealed it to a man of obscure tongue 198 and had he recited it unto them [in his own tongue,] they would not have believed in it. 199 This is how We have made (the habit of) denying embedded in the hearts of the guilty. 200 who will not believe in it, until they see the painful chastisement 201 It will come upon them unawares, and they will not comprehend it. 202 Then they will say: "Can we be respited?" 203 Do they then ask for Our Penalty to be hastened on? 204 Beholdest thou? if We let them enjoy for years. 205 Yet there comes to them at length the (Punishment) which they were promised! 206 what avail will their past enjoyments be to them? 207 And withal, never have We destroyed any community unless it had been warned 208 to admonish them. We have never been unjust. 209 And the devils have not brought the revelation down. 210 It would neither suit them nor would they be able (to produce it). 211 Verily, they have been removed far from hearing it. 212 So invoke not with Allah another ilah (god) lest you be among those who receive punishment. 213 And warn your tribe (O Muhammad SAW) of near kindred. 214 And lower thy wing (in kindness) unto those believers who follow thee. 215 If they do not obey you, tell them: "I am not responsible for what you do." 216 And put thy trust on the Exalted in Might, the Merciful,- 217 Who seeth thee when thou standest up (to pray) 218 And your movements among those who fall prostrate (along with you to Allah in the five compulsory congregational prayers). 219 Surely He is the All-hearing, the All-knowing. 220 Shall I inform you upon whom the devils descend? 221 They descend on every lying (one who tells lies), sinful person. 222 Who give ear, and most of them are liars. 223 Poets are followed by the perverse. 224 hast thou not seen how they wander in every valley 225 and that they [so often] say what they do not do [or feel]? 226 except those who believed and acted righteously and remembered Allah much, and when they themselves were subjected to wrong, they exacted retribution no more than to the extent of the wrong? Soon will the wrong-doers know the end that they shall reach. 227
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
