And truly, this (the Quran) is a revelation from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists), 192 The Faithful Spirit has descended with it, 193 To thy heart and mind, that thou mayest admonish. 194 (a revelation) in clear Arabic language, 195 (a revelation embodied) in the scriptures of the ancients. 196 Is it not evidence enough for them that the learned among the Children of Israel have recognized this [as true]? 197 Had We revealed it to a man of obscure tongue 198 And he had read it unto them, they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We caused this (Admonition) to penetrate the hearts of the culprits (like a hot rod). 200 They will not believe therein until they behold the torment afflictive. 201 But when it comes upon them suddenly, taking them unawares, 202 they say: "Can we be granted some respite?" 203 Do they want to hasten Our torment? 204 Just think: If We let them enjoy (the good things of life) for a few years more, 205 And then cometh that which they were promised, 206 They would not be availed by the enjoyment with which they were provided. 207 And withal, never have We destroyed any community unless it had been warned 208 To advise; and We never oppress. 209 The satans have not revealed the Quran; 210 It is not meet for them, nor is it in their power, 211 The satans are barred from listening to anything from the heavens. 212 So call not on any other god with Allah, or thou wilt be among those under the Penalty. 213 And O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), warn your closest relatives. 214 And lower thou thy wing unto those who follow thee as believers. 215 And if they (thy kinsfolk) disobey thee, say: Lo! I am innocent of what they do. 216 And rely upon the Exalted in Might, the Merciful, 217 Who seeth thee when thou standest up 218 and when thou turnest about among those who bow. 219 Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Knowing. 220 Shall I inform you, (O people!), on whom it is that the evil ones descend? 221 They come down to every mendacious sinner, 222 The satans try to listen to the heavens but many of them are liars. 223 And the Poets,- It is those straying in Evil, who follow them: 224 Hast thou not seen how they stray in every valley, 225 And how they say that which they do not? 226 The righteously striving believers among them who remember God very often and use their talent to seek help after they have been wronged are the exceptional. The unjust will soon know how terrible their end will be. 227
