The Ant (Al-Naml)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Ta. Sin. THESE ARE MESSAGES of the Qur'an - a divine writ clear in itself and clearly showing the truth: 1 A guidance and glad tidings for the believers. 2 who establish Prayer and give Zakah, and have firm faith in the Hereafter. 3 Lo! as for those who believe not in the Hereafter, We have made their works fairseeming unto them so that they are all astray. 4 Those are they for whom is the worst of punishment, and in the Hereafter they will be the greatest losers. 5 Thou receivest the Koran from One All-wise, All-knowing. 6 (Remember) when Moosa said to his wife, “I have sighted a fire; I will soon bring its news to you, or bring for you an ember from it so that you may warm yourselves.” 7 So when he came to it a voice was uttered saying: Blessed is Whoever is in the fire and whatever is about it; and glory be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds; 8 Moses, I am God, the Majestic and All-wise. 9 And cast down your staff. So when he saw it in motion as if it were a serpent, he turned back retreating and did not return: O Musa! fear not; surely the apostles shall not fear in My presence; 10 except he who has committed some wrong. But if he substitutes good in place of evil, I am Most Forgiving, Most Compassionate. 11 Now put your hand into your bosom, and it will come forth shining without any blemish. (These are two of the) nine Signs to be carried to Pharaoh and his people. They are surely a wicked people." 12 Then when Our signs came unto them illuminating, they said: this is a magic manifest. 13 They denied those Signs out of iniquity and arrogance although their hearts were convinced of their truth. So see how evil was the end of those mischief-makers! 14
