The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta-Sin-Mim. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings.] 1 These are the Verses of the manifest Book [this Quran, which was promised by Allah in the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel), makes things clear]. 2 You will perhaps kill yourself with anguish because they are not accepting the faith. 3 If We please, We should send down upon them a sign from the heaven so that their necks should stoop to it. 4 Never does there come to them an admonition from the Merciful Lord but they turn away from it. 5 They will soon come to know the truth of that which they have been scoffing at. 6 Have they not seen the earth, how many We caused to grow in it every generous kind? 7 In this there is, certainly, evidence (of the Truth). But most of them have no faith. 8 Your Lord is the Majestic and the All-merciful. 9
