And those who disbelieve say: when we have become dust, we and our fathers, shall we, for sooth, be brought forth? 67 Assuredly we have been promised this aforetime, we and our fathers. Naught is this but fables of the ancients. 68 Say: "Travel in the land and see how (bad) was the end of sinners." 69 And grieve you not for them, nor be straitened (in distress) because of what they plot. 70 And they say: When (will) this promise (be fulfilled), if ye are truthful? 71 Say: "The chastisement whose hastening you have been asking for, maybe a part of it has drawn quite near to you." 72 Surely thy Lord is bountiful to men; but most of them are not thankful. 73 The Lord knows full well what they conceal in their hearts and what they disclose: 74 And there is nothing hidden in the heaven or the earth but it is in a clear Record. 75 Verily this Qur'an recounteth with truth unto the Children of Isra'il much of that wherein they differ. 76 And lo! it is a guidance and a mercy for believers. 77 Indeed your Lord will decide between them by His judgement. He is All-Mighty, All-Knowing. 78 So you place your trust in God. Certainly you stand on positive truth. 79 [But,] verily, thou canst not make the dead hear: and [so, too,] thou canst not make the deaf [of heart] hear this call when they turn their backs [on thee] and go away, 80 Nor can you lead the blind when they have gone astray. You can make none hear except those who believe in Our signs and have come to peace and submission. 81 ۞ And when the Word is fulfilled against them (the unjust), we shall produce from the earth a beast to (face) them: He will speak to them, for that mankind did not believe with assurance in Our Signs. 82
