Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Alif Lam Mim. 1 These are the verses of the Book of wisdom. 2 A guide and a mercy for the Muhsinun (good-doers) 3 Those who perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as- Salat) and give Zakat and they have faith in the Hereafter with certainty. 4 These are on guidance from their Lord, and these! they are the blissful ones. 5 (In an attempt to show that God's revelations are only ancient legends) some people pay for meaningless tales to draw others attention away from the Quran without knowledge and treat as a matter of fun. They will suffer a humiliating torment. 6 And when our verses are recited to him, he turns away arrogantly as if he had not heard them, as if there was in his ears deafness. So give him tidings of a painful punishment. 7 Surely, those who believe and do good works shall enter gardens of bliss, 8 They will abide in them for ever. The promise of God is true; and He is all-mighty and all-wise. 9 He has created the heavens without any pillars, that you see and has set on the earth firm mountains, lest it should shake with you. And He has scattered therein moving (living) creatures of all kinds. And We send down water (rain) from the sky, and We cause (plants) of every goodly kind to grow therein. 10 this is God's creation. Show me then what those besides Him have created! The wrongdoers are in manifest error. 11
