Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Alif-Lam-Mim. 1 [This is] the revelation of the Book about which there is no doubt from the Lord of the worlds. 2 Or do they say, "He invented it"? Rather, it is the truth from your Lord, [O Muhammad], that you may warn a people to whom no warner has come before you [so] perhaps they will be guided. 3 IT IS GOD who has created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them in six aeons, and is established on the throne of His almightiness. You have none to protect you from God, and none to intercede for you [on Judgment Day]: will you not, then, bethink yourselves? 4 He arranges (every) affair from the heavens to the earth, then it (affair) will go up to Him, in one Day, the space whereof is a thousand years of your reckoning (i.e. reckoning of our present world's time). 5 Such is the Knower of the unseen and the seen, the Mighty, the Merciful. 6 who perfected everything He created. He originated the creation of the human from clay, 7 Then He made his posterity out of the extract of a liquid disdained. 8 Then He fashioned him and breathed into him of His Spirit; and appointed for you hearing and sight and hearts. Small thanks give ye! 9 They say, 'What, when we have gone astray in the earth, shall we indeed be in a new creation?' Nay, but they disbelieve in the encounter with their Lord. 10 ۞ (Muhammad), say, "The angel of death, who is appointed over everyone of you, will cause you to die and to your Lord you will all return." 11
