۞ Proclaim, “I advise you just one thing; that stand up for Allah's sake, in twos and ones, and then think”; there is not a trace of insanity in this companion of yours; he is not but a Herald of Warning for you, before the advent of a severe punishment! 46 Say: "The reward I ask is for yourself. My reward is due from none but God; and He is witness over everything." 47 Say thou: verily my Lord hurleth the truth: the Knower of things hidden. 48 Say thou: the truth is come, and falsehood shall neither originate nor be restored. 49 Say, "If I should err, I would only err against myself. But if I am guided, it is by what my Lord reveals to me. Indeed, He is Hearing and near." 50 If you could see when they are gripped by terror without any escape, and are seized from close at hand 51 and they say, 'We believe in it'; but how can they reach from a place far away, 52 When they disbelieved in it of yore. They aim at the unseen from afar off. 53 And a barrier is set between them and that which they desire, as it was done before with their like; they were in suspicious doubt' 54
