۞ O mankind! ye are needers unto Allah, and Allah! He is the Self-Sufficient, the Praiseworthy 15 If He will, He can put you away and bring a new creation; 16 And that is not hard for Allah. 17 And a burdened soul cannot bear the burden of another and if one weighed down by burden should cry for (another to carry) its burden, not aught of it shall be carried, even though he be near of kin. You warn only those who fear their Lord in secret and keep up prayer; and whoever purifies himself, he purifies himself only for (the good of) his own soul; and to Allah is the eventual coming. 18 The blind and the seeing are not alike, 19 Neither darknesses and light, 20 Nor are the (chilly) shade and the (genial) heat of the sun: 21 nor are the living and the dead equal. Allah makes to hear whosoever He will, but you cannot make those who are in their graves hear. 22 You are purely a Herald of Warning. 23 Verily We have sent thee in truth, as a bearer of glad tidings, and as a warner: and there never was a people, without a warner having lived among them (in the past). 24 If they give the lie to you now, those that went before them also gave the lie to their Messengers when they came to them with Clear Proofs, with Scriptures, and with the Illuminating Book. 25 In the end did I punish those who rejected Faith: and how (terrible) was My rejection (of them)! 26
