And [yet,] they have a sign [of Our power to create and to resurrect] in the lifeless earth which We make alive, and out of which We bring forth grain, whereof they may eat; 33 And We produce therein orchard with date-palms and vines, and We cause springs to gush forth therein: 34 That they may eat of His fruit. And their hands have not produced it, so will they not be grateful? 35 Exalted is He who created all pairs - from what the earth grows and from themselves and from that which they do not know. 36 And a sign for them is the night, We withdraw therefrom the day, and behold, they are in darkness. 37 And the sun runs [on course] toward its stopping point. That is the determination of the Exalted in Might, the Knowing. 38 And (as for) the moon, We have ordained for it stages till it becomes again as an old dry palm branch. 39 The sun cannot overtake the moon, nor can the night outpace the day: each floats in [its own] orbit. 40 And a sign for them is that We carried their offspring in the laden Ark (of Noah). 41 and [that] We create for them things of a similar kind, on which they may embark [in their travels]; 42 We drown them if We will, then they have none to cry to, nor can they be saved, 43 save as a mercy from Us, and enjoyment for a while. 44 But when it is said to them, "Beware of what is before you and what is behind you; perhaps you will receive mercy... " 45 and whenever a revelation out of their Lord's revelations comes to them, they ignore it. 46 And when it is said to them: 'Spend of that which Allah has given you' the unbelievers say to the believers: 'Are we to feed those whom Allah can feed if He chooses? Surely, you are only in clear error' 47 The unbelievers say, "When will the Day of Judgment come if what you say is at all true?" 48 They will not (have to) wait for aught but a single Blast: it will seize them while they are yet disputing among themselves! 49 Then they will be unable to make a will, nor shall they return to their kinsmen. 50
