The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 Who created and proportioned 2 decreed their destinies, and provided them with guidance. 3 Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 Then made it dry and dark. 5 We shall make you to recite (the Quran), so you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) shall not forget (it), 6 Except what Allah should will. Indeed, He knows what is declared and what is hidden. 7 We shall take you slowly towards ease. 8 Therefore remind (men) in case the reminder profits (them). 9 He who fears (Allah) shall heed it, 10 but the reprobates will turn away 11 He who shall roast into the Great Fire, 12 in which he will neither die nor live therein. 13 He indeed shall be successful who purifies himself, 14 remember the name of the Lord, and pray to Him. 15 But ye prefer the life of this world, 16 Though the life to come is better and abiding. 17 Indeed this is in the former scriptures. 18 The Scriptures of Ibrahim (Abraham) and Musa (Moses). 19
