The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
I swear by (the angels) who stand in ranks, 1 And those who drive [the clouds] 2 and those who recite Our revelations, 3 Verily your Ilah (God) is indeed One (i.e. Allah); 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth and all that is between them, and Lord of the sun's risings. 5 He decked the nearest heavens with ornaments of stars, 6 and have protected it from every rebellious satan. 7 They cannot listen to the speech of those on higher elevations and they are targeted from every side. 8 Repelled; and for them is a constant punishment, 9 but if anyone does succeed in snatching a glimpse [of such knowledge,] he is [henceforth] pursued by a piercing flame. 10 Ask them thou: are they stronger in structure or those others whom We have created? Verily We! We have created them of a sticky clay. 11 Truly dost thou marvel, while they ridicule, 12 And when they are warned they pay no heed. 13 And whenever they see a sign, they mock at it. 14 And they say: Lo! this is mere magic; 15 When we have become dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then verily be raised? 16 "And also our fathers of old?" 17 Tell them: “Yes; and you are utterly helpless (against Allah).” 18 The Day of Judgment will come within a single roar and they will remain gazing at it. 19 And they will say: Ah! woe be unto us! this is the Day of Requital. 20 "(Yes,) this is the Day of Judgement you had called a lie." 21
