The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those [angels] who range themselves in close ranks 1 and those who drive away [the wicked] with reproof 2 and by the reciters of the Reminder: 3 Verily, most surely, your God is One 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth, and of what between them is Lord of the Easts. 5 Indeed, We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment of stars 6 and have made them secure against every rebellious, satanic force, 7 they listen not to the High Council, for they are pelted from every side, 8 driven away, and will suffer eternal punishment. 9 except such as snatches a fragment, and he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 Then ask them whether they are stronger in creation or those (others) whom We have created. Surely We created them of firm clay. 11 Nay, you (O Muhammad SAW) wondered (at their insolence) while they mock (at you and at the Quran). 12 And when they are reminded, they pay no attention. 13 And when they behold a sign, they turn to scoffing. 14 And say, "This is nothing but evident sorcery! 15 They say, "Shall we be brought to life again after we die and turn into dust and bones? 16 And also our forefathers? 17 Say, "Yes, and you will be [rendered] contemptible." 18 It will be only one shout, and at once they will be observing. 19 They will say, "Woe to us!" (They will be told), "This is the day of receiving recompense". 20 This is the day of the judgment which you called a lie. 21
