The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
CONSIDER these [messages] ranged in serried ranks, 1 And those who drive [the clouds] 2 And by oath of the groups that read the Qur’an. 3 surely, your God is One, 4 The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, and the Lord of the Easts. 5 Behold, We have adorned the skies nearest to the earth with the beauty of stars, 6 Protecting them against every wayward devil, 7 they cannot overhear the Higher Assembly for they are pelted from every side, 8 driven away, and will suffer eternal punishment. 9 Except one who sometimes steals a part, so a blazing flame goes after him. 10 So ask them (that is, human beings): “Were they harder to create than the objects We created?” We created them from sticky clay. 11 Nay! you wonder while they mock, 12 and when they are admonished, they pay no heed; 13 And seek to scoff when they behold a portent. 14 And they say: Lo! this is mere magic; 15 When we are dead and turned to dust and bones, how can we be raised again, 16 What, and our forefathers, the ancients' 17 Proclaim, “Yes, and with disgrace.” 18 It will be only one shout, and at once they will be observing. 19 And they shall say: O woe to us! this is the day of requital. 20 "(Yes,) this is the Day of Judgement you had called a lie." 21

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
