The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
I swear by (the angels) who stand in ranks, 1 by those who drive away the devil (to protect Our revelation), 2 And thus proclaim the Message (of Allah)! 3 that your Lord is the only Lord. 4 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and of whatever lies between the two, the Lord of the Easts. 5 Verily We! We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment: the stars. 6 and guarded it against all rebellious devils: 7 These satans cannot listen to what transpires in the High Council for they are pelted away from every side 8 Repelled; and for them is a constant punishment, 9 Except him who snatcheth away a word by stealth, and him then pursueth a glowing flame. 10 AND NOW ask those [who deny the truth] to enlighten thee: Were they more difficult to create than all those [untold marvels] that We have created? - for, behold, them have We created out of [mere] clay commingled with water! 11 But you wonder, while they mock, 12 And heed not when they are reminded, 13 When they are shown a sign, they scoff at it 14 And they say: Lo! this is mere magic; 15 Why - after we have died and become mere dust and bones, shall we, forsooth, be raised from the dead? 16 And our forefathers? 17 Say: Aye! and you shall be abject. 18 There will only be a single jerk, and they will gape, 19 They will say, "Woe to us! This is the Day of Reckoning." 20 This is the Day of Decision which you belied. 21
