The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the rangers ranging 1 and restraining [from evil] by a call to restraint, 2 And thus proclaim the Message (of Allah)! 3 surely, your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth, and of what between them is Lord of the Easts. 5 Lo! We have adorned the lowest heaven with an ornament, the planets; 6 Protecting them against every wayward devil, 7 (So) they should not strain their ears in the direction of the Exalted Assembly but be cast away from every side, 8 Repulsed, for they are under a perpetual penalty, 9 Except those who eavesdrop and are pursued by a shooting flame. 10 Then ask them (O Muhammad): Are they stronger as a creation, or those (others) whom we have created? Lo! We created them of plastic clay. 11 Nay, but whereas thou dost marvel, they [only] scoff; 12 And when they are reminded, they pay no attention. 13 And when they see a sign, they ridicule 14 and they say, 'This is nothing but manifest sorcery. 15 "What! when we die, and become dust and bones, shall we (then) be raised up (again) 16 along with our forefathers?" 17 Say (O Muhammad): Ye, in truth; and ye will be brought low. 18 The Day of Judgment will come within a single roar and they will remain gazing at it. 19 And they shall say: O woe to us! this is the day of requital. 20 [It will be said], "This is the Day of Judgement which you have been denying." 21
