The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I CALL TO witness those who stand arrayed in rows, 1 And by oath of those who herd with a stern warning. 2 and those who recite the Remembrance 3 Lo! thy Lord is surely One; 4 The Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, and Lord of the easts. 5 We have decked the lower heavens with stars 6 Protecting them against every wayward devil, 7 They cannot listen to the speech of those on higher elevations and they are targeted from every side. 8 cast out [from all grace,] with lasting suffering in store for them [in the life to come]; 9 Some of them who stealthily steal words from the heavens are pursued by a glistening flame. 10 Ask them thou: are they stronger in structure or those others whom We have created? Verily We! We have created them of a sticky clay. 11 Yet while you are filled with wonder, they just scoff; 12 And when they are reminded, they mind not, 13 When they see a sign, they laugh at it, 14 And they say: Lo! this is mere magic; 15 They say, "Shall we be brought to life again after we die and turn into dust and bones? 16 Will our forefathers also be brought to life again?" 17 Proclaim, “Yes, and with disgrace.” 18 For it is only a single scaring, then behold, they are watching 19 And say: "Ah woe! This is the Day of Reckoning." 20 [It will be said], "This is the Day of Judgement which you have been denying." 21
