1/2 Hizb 45

۞ “Gather all the unjust persons and their spouses, and all that they used to worship!” 22 apart from Allah, and direct them to the path of Hell, 23 "But stop them, for they must be asked: 24 "How is it that [now] you cannot succour one another?" 25 Nay! on that Day they will be entirely submissive. 26 They will turn to each other saying, 27 (The followers will say to their leaders): “You used to come to us from the right hand.” 28 They shall say: Nay, you (yourselves) were not believers; 29 We had no power over you. You were a rebellious people, 30 So our Lord's Word is realised against us; we are tasting it. 31 "So we led you astray because we were ourselves astray." 32 On that Day, they will all share the chastisement. 33 That is how We deal with sinners. 34 Verily when it was said unto them: there is no god but Allah, they ever grew stiff-necked. 35 And they used to say, “Shall we forsake our Gods upon the sayings of a mad poet?” 36 Nay: he has come with the truth and verified the apostles. 37 Verily, you (pagans of Makkah) are going to taste the painful torment; 38 You will only be recompensed according to your deeds.” 39 But Allah's chosen servants (shall be spared this woeful end). 40 For them is a known sustenance, 41 Fruits. And they will be honoured 42 In the Gardens of delight, 43 On couches facing one another; 44 With cups from a flowing stream being passed around, 45 white, sparkling (wine), a delight to the drinkers. 46 There shall be no trouble in it, nor shall they be exhausted therewith. 47 And with them will be women limiting [their] glances, with large, [beautiful] eyes, 48 as if they were hidden pearls. 49 And some of them draw near unto others, mutually questioning. 50 A speaker from among them shall say: Surely I had a comrade of mine, 51 Who used to say: Art thou in truth of those who put faith (in his words)? 52 (Do you think) we would be paid back our due when we are dead and reduced to dust and bones?' 53 (The man) said: "Will you look down?" 54 He will look down and see him in hell. 55 'By Allah' he will say, 'you almost destroyed me! 56 Had it not been for the grace of my Lord I too would have been there (in Hell). 57 But then, [O my friends in paradise,] is it [really] so that we are not to die 58 [again,] beyond our previous death, and that we shall never [again] be made to suffer? 59 This is indeed the mighty triumph, 60 For the like of this then let the workers work. 61 Is this better as a welcome, or the tree of Zaqqum? 62 which We have made as a test for the wrongdoers. 63 Verily it is a tree that springeth forth in the bottom of Flaming Fire. 64 its fruit [as repulsive] as satans' heads; 65 And lo! they verily must eat thereof, and fill (their) bellies therewith. 66 Washing it down with boiling water. 67 Then surely their return is towards hell. 68 Truly they found their fathers on the wrong Path; 69 yet they run in their footsteps, 70 And verily most of the men of old went astray before them, 71 And indeed We had sent Heralds of warnings among them. 72 Look, then how was the end of those who had been warned, 73 Save the bondmen of Allah sincere. 74
