1/2 Hizb 45
< random >
۞ [The angels will be ordered], "Gather those who committed wrong, their kinds, and what they used to worship 22 other than Allah, and guide them to the Path of Hell! 23 And stop them, for they must be questioned. 24 "Why help you not one another?" 25 Nay! on that day they shall be submissive. 26 They will turn to each other saying, 27 (The followers will say to their leaders): “You used to come to us from the right hand.” 28 They will answer, “You yourselves did not have faith!” 29 “And we did not have any control over you; but in fact you yourselves were rebellious.” 30 The statement of Our Lord is realized against us, and we are tasting it, 31 So we led you astray, for we ourselves were erring. 32 Then lo! this day they (both) are sharers in the doom. 33 As such We shall deal with the evildoers. 34 for, behold, whenever they were told, "There is no deity save God," they would glory in their arrogance 35 And they used to say, “Shall we forsake our Gods upon the sayings of a mad poet?” 36 Rather, the Prophet has come with the truth and confirmed the [previous] messengers. 37 Behold, you will indeed taste grievous suffering [in the life to come,] 38 and not be recompensed, except according to what you were doing.' 39 Save single-minded slaves of Allah; 40 For them is a Sustenance determined, 41 a variety of delicious fruits; and they shall be honoured 42 In Gardens of Felicity, 43 on couches facing each other. 44 A bowl shall be made to go round them from water running out of springs, 45 White, delicious to those who drink. 46 There shall be no trouble in it, nor shall they be exhausted therewith. 47 With them will be spouses, modest of gaze and beautiful of eye, 48 Like sheltered eggs in a nest. 49 They advance one upon another, asking each other questions. 50 One of them will say, "I had a companion who asked me, 51 “Who used to tell me, ‘Do you believe it is true?’ 52 ‘That when we are dead and have turned into dust and bones, that we will either be rewarded or punished?’ 53 He will say: -- Do you wish to know where he is now?' 54 Then he will look and see him in the midst of the Fire. 55 'By God', he said, 'you had almost ruined me. 56 "Had it not been for the Grace of my Lord, I should certainly have been among those brought (there)! 57 Then he will say [to his blessed companions], "Are we not going to die, 58 "Except our first death, and that we shall not be punished?" 59 This is indeed the mighty triumph, 60 For the like of it should the workers work. 61 Is Paradise a better accommodation or the tree of zaqqum? 62 Verily We! We have made it a temptation for the wrong-doers. 63 It is a tree that grows in the nethermost part of Hell. 64 Its spathes are like the heads of satans. 65 The dwellers of hell will eat that fruit and fill-up their bellies. 66 Then most surely they shall have after it to drink of a mixture prepared in boiling water. 67 Then surely their return is towards hell. 68 Verily, they found their fathers on the wrong path; 69 and they are running in their footsteps. 70 Before them erred most of the ancients, 71 though We had sent warners among them. 72 So behold what wise hath been the end of those who were warned. 73 But not the chosen servants of Allah. 74
