3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah had verily called to Us. And how gracious was He who answered (him). 75 for We saved him and his household from that awesome calamity, 76 and caused his offspring to endure [on earth]; 77 We left mention of him among later generations. 78 "Peace be upon Noah throughout all the worlds!" 79 Thus indeed do we reward those who do right. 80 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 81 Then afterwards We drowned the rest. 82 ۞ Abraham was of the same faith: 83 When he came unto his Lord with a whole heart; 84 "Behold!" he said to his father and to his people, "What are these that you worship? 85 It is falsehood that you desire gods other than Allah! 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds' 87 Then he cast a glance at the stars (to deceive them), 88 And said, "Indeed, I am [about to be] ill." 89 But they turned their backs and went away from him. 90 Then he turned to their gods, and said, 'What do you eat? 91 “What is the matter with you, that you do not say anything?” 92 And he turned upon them a blow with [his] right hand. 93 Then came the others to him hastening. 94 Said he: What! do you worship what you hew out? 95 while it is Allah Who has created you and all that you make?” 96 "Build a pyre for him and throw him into the raging fire." 97 They plotted against him, but We brought humiliation upon them. 98 He said: 'I will go to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 My Lord, give me one of the righteous.' 100 whereupon We gave him the glad tiding of a boy-child gentle [like himself]? 101 And when he reached the age when he could work with him, he said, "O my son, I have seen in a dream that I am sacrificing you. So tell me what you think of it!" He replied, "O my father, do as you are commanded; and God willing, you will find me steadfast." 102 Then (remember) when they both submitted to Allah’s command, and Ibrahim lay his son facing downwards. (The knife did not hurt Ismail) 103 We called to him, "O Abraham, 104 You have indeed shown the truth of the vision; surely thus do We reward the doers of good: 105 for, behold, all this was indeed a trial, clear in itself. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 108 Salamun (peace) be upon Ibrahim (Abraham)!" 109 Thus do We reward the good. 110 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 111 And [in time] We gave him the glad tiding of Isaac, [who, too, would be] a prophet, one of the righteous; 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. But among their descendants is the doer of good and the clearly unjust to himself. 113
