And indeed Nuh (Noah) invoked Us, and We are the Best of those who answer (the request). 75 We delivered him and his household from the great calamity; 76 And We preserved his descendants. 77 We left mention of him among later generations. 78 Salamun (peace) be upon Nuh (Noah) (from Us) among the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)!" 79 Verily, thus do We reward the doers of good 80 Surely he was of Our believing servants. 81 Then the rest we overwhelmed in the Flood. 82 ۞ And Abraham indeed was of his inducement, 83 When he came to his Lord, with a sound heart. (Free from falsehood). 84 Behold! he said to his father and to his people, "What is that which ye worship? 85 "Is it a falsehood- gods other than Allah- that ye desire? 86 What, then, do you think of the Sustainer of all the worlds?" 87 Then he cast a glance at the stars, 88 And said, "I am sick," 89 And they turned their backs and went away from him. 90 Then he turned to their aliha (gods) and said: "Will you not eat (of the offering before you)? 91 What is the matter with you that you do not speak? 92 And he turned upon them striking them with the right hand. 93 Thereafter they (the people) came to him in haste. 94 He said: "Worship you that which you (yourselves) carve? 95 When Allah hath created you and what ye make? 96 They spoke among themselves: “Build him a pyre and then throw him into the furnace.” 97 They desired to outwit him; so We made them the lower ones. 98 He said, 'I am going to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 Abraham prayed, "Lord, grant me a righteous son". 100 We gave him the good news that he would have a patient, forbearing son. 101 And when he reached with him [the age of] exertion, he said, "O my son, indeed I have seen in a dream that I [must] sacrifice you, so see what you think." He said, "O my father, do as you are commanded. You will find me, if Allah wills, of the steadfast." 102 And when they had both submitted and he put him down upon his forehead, 103 We called to him, "Abraham, 104 you have fulfilled what you were commanded to do in your dream." Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 105 This was indeed a plain trial. 106 Then We ransomed him with a tremendous victim. 107 And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times. 108 Salamun (peace) be upon Ibrahim (Abraham)!" 109 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 110 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 111 We gave Abraham the good news of Isaac, a prophet and a righteous man, 112 And We sent blessings upon him and Ishaq; and among their descendants some who do good deeds, and some who clearly wrong themselves. 113
