3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And Noah verily prayed unto Us, and gracious was the Hearer of his prayer 75 And We saved him and his family from the great affliction. 76 and We made his offspring the survivors. 77 And left (his name) for posterity. 78 Peace on Noah among all men. 79 Thus do We surely reward the doers of good. 80 Lo! he is one of Our believing slaves. 81 Thereafter We caused the others to be drowned. 82 ۞ And, verily, among those who followed his [Nuh's (Noah)] way (Islamic Monotheism) was Ibrahim (Abraham). 83 When he came to his Lord, with a sound heart. (Free from falsehood). 84 When he said to his father (paternal uncle) and his people, “What do you worship?” 85 Is it a calumny, gods apart from God, that you desire? 86 What, then, do you think of the Sustainer of all the worlds?" 87 Then he looked at the stars, looking up once, 88 and he said, 'Surely I am sick.' 89 and at that they turned their backs on him and went away. 90 Then he went quietly to the (temple of the deities) and said: “What is the matter with you, why do you not eat? 91 What is amiss with you that you do not speak?" 92 Then he slipped unto them striking them with the right hand. 93 His people came rushing towards him, 94 "Why do you worship these you carve yourselves," he asked, 95 "But Allah has created you and your handwork!" 96 They said, "Build him a furnace, and throw him into the blazing fire!" 97 And they devised a plot for him, but We made them the humble. 98 And he said (after his rescue from the fire): "Verily, I am going to my Lord. He will guide me!" 99 “My Lord! Give me a meritorious child.” 100 So We gave him the good news of a boy, possessing forbearance. 101 And when he attained to working with him, he said: O my son! surely I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice you; consider then what you see. He said: O my father! do what you are commanded; if Allah please, you will find me of the patient ones. 102 So when they both submitted and he threw him down upon his forehead, 103 And We called out to him saying: O Ibrahim! 104 thou hast already fulfilled [the purpose of] that dream-vision!" Thus, verily, do We reward the doers of good: 105 Most surely this is a manifest trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice (i.e. a ram); 107 And left (his hallowed memory) for posterity. 108 "Peace upon Abraham." 109 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 110 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 111 And We gave him good tidings of Isaac, a prophet from among the righteous. 112 and We blessed him and Isaac: but among the offspring of these two there were [destined] to be both doers of good and such as would glaringly sin against themselves. 113
