And Nuh did certainly call upon Us, and most excellent answerer of prayer are We. 75 We saved him and his family from the great affliction, 76 and made his offspring the only ones to survive, 77 And We left for him among the posterity. 78 Peace be upon Noah among all the peoples! 79 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 80 Verily he was of Our bondmen believing. 81 Then the rest we overwhelmed in the Flood. 82 ۞ Of his party was Abraham. 83 When he came to his Lord, with a sound heart. (Free from falsehood). 84 Recall what time he said unto his father and his people: What is it that ye worship? 85 Is it falsehood [as] gods other than Allah you desire? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds' 87 And he cast a glance at the stars, 88 And said: "I am sick (of what you worship)!" 89 But they turned their backs and went away from him. 90 Thereupon he approached their gods stealthily and said, "What! You do not eat [of the offerings placed before you]? 91 What is [wrong] with you that you do not speak?" 92 He struck them with his right hand. 93 Then came (the worshippers) with hurried steps, and faced (him). 94 He said: "Worship you that which you (yourselves) carve? 95 And Allah has created you and what you make. 96 They said, "Let us build a fire and throw him into the flames". 97 But whereas they sought to do evil unto him, We [frustrated their designs, and thus] brought them low? 98 And he said, “Indeed I shall go to my Lord Who will guide me.” 99 My Lord! Vouchsafe me of the righteous. 100 Wherefore We gave him the glad tidings of a boy gentle. 101 And when (his son) was old enough to walk with him, (Abraham) said: O my dear son, I have seen in a dream that I must sacrifice thee. So look, what thinkest thou? He said: O my father! Do that which thou art commanded. Allah willing, thou shalt find me of the steadfast. 102 When they had surrendered, and he flung him upon his brow, 103 We called out to him, "Abraham, 104 Thou hast already fulfilled the vision. Lo! thus do We reward the good. 105 that surely was a manifest trial, 106 And We ransomed him with a tremendous sacrifice, 107 And left (his hallowed memory) for posterity. 108 'Peace be upon Abraham!' 109 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 110 For he was one of our believing Servants. 111 Then We gave him the good tidings of Isaac, a Prophet, one of the righteous. 112 We blessed him and Ishaque (Isaac), and of their progeny are (some) that do right, and some that plainly wrong themselves. 113
