THUS, INDEED, did We bestow Our favour upon Moses and Aaron; 114 And saved them and their people from the great distress, 115 We helped them and they were victorious. 116 and We gave them the Clear Book, 117 and guided them in the straight path, 118 and We left them thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 119 Peace be on Musa and Haroun. 120 This is how We reward those who do good: 121 they were among Our believing servants. 122 Elijah too was one of the messengers. 123 When he said unto his folk: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 124 Do you call upon Ba'l and leave the best of creators - 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients' 126 Then they belied him, so verily they are to be brought up. 127 Except the chosen slaves of Allah. 128 and We left for him among the later folk 129 "Peace be upon Elijah and his followers!" 130 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 131 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 132 And indeed, Lot was among the messengers. 133 When We saved him and his family, all, 134 Except an old woman, who became of those who stayed behind. 135 and We destroyed the others. 136 And surely ye pass by them in the morning. 137 and at night. Will you then not understand? 138
