And recall what time thy Lord called unto Musa, saying: go thou unto the wrong-doing people. 10 the people of Pharaoh, will they not fear God? 11 : He said: "O Lord, I fear that they will deny me. 12 I feel nervous and my tongue is not fluent, so send Aaron with me. 13 They have charged me [with a crime] for which I am afraid they will kill me." 14 Said He: "Not so, indeed! Go forth, then, both of you, with Our messages: verily, We shall be with you, listening [to your call]! 15 And come together unto Pharaoh and say: Lo! we bear a message of the Lord of the Worlds, 16 "'Send thou with us the Children of Israel.'" 17 (Firon) said: Did we not bring you up as a child among us, and you tarried among us for (many) years of your life? 18 “And you committed the deed of yours that you committed, and you were ungrateful.” 19 Said Moosa, “I did that at a time when I was unaware of the consequences.” (In anger – See verse 28:15) 20 so I fled from you, fearing you. But my Lord gave me Judgment and made me one of the Envoys. 21 And is it a favor of which you remind me that you have enslaved the children of Israel? 22 Pharaoh said, "What is this: Lord of the Universe?" 23 (Moses) said: "The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, if you can believe." 24 (The Pharaoh) said to those around him: "Do you hear?" 25 [And Moses] continued: "[He is] your Sustainer, [too,] as well as the Sustainer of your forefathers of old!" 26 (Pharaoh) said: 'Surely, the Messenger who has been sent to you is mad!' 27 Musa (Moses) said: "Lord of the east and the west, and all that is between them, if you did but understand!" 28 Said he: If you will take a god besides me, I will most certainly make you one of the imprisoned. 29 and Moses asked, "Even if I show you a clear sign?" 30 Pharaoh said: "Then bring it if you are truthful at all." 31 Thereupon [Moses] threw down his staff - and lo! it was a serpent, plainly visible; 32 And he drew forth his hand, and lo! it appeared white to the onlookers. 33
