We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 And delivered them and their people from the great affliction. 115 And helped them, so that they became the victors; 116 And We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 And guided them to the Straight Path. 118 And We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon on both of them in the latter (generations), 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 121 They were among Our believing worshipers. 122 And verily, llyas was one of the sent ones. 123 He asked his people: 'Do you not fear (Allah)? 124 What! do you call upon Ba'l and forsake the best of the creators, 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients' 126 But they cried him lies; so they will be among the arraigned, 127 Except the chosen servants of Allah. 128 and We left for him among the later folk 129 Peace be upon Ilyas! 130 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 131 He is truly among Our faithful devotees. 132 And Lut was most surely of the apostles. 133 [and so,] when [We decreed the doom of his sinful town,] We saved him and his household, 134 Except an old woman (who was) amongst those who tarried. 135 We then destroyed the others. 136 Verily, you pass by them in the morning. 137 and by night. Will you not, then, use your reason? 138
