Again (of old) We bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron, 114 And delivered them and their people from the great affliction. 115 And helped them, so that they became the victors; 116 And We vouchsafed unto the twain a Book luminous. 117 guided them to the right path, 118 And We left for them [favorable mention] among later generations: 119 Peace be upon Moses and Aaron. 120 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 121 They were among Our believing worshipers. 122 Elias too was one of the Envoys; 123 when he said to his people, 'Will you not be godfearing? 124 Would you call on Baal and leave the best of creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 but they rejected him, and thus will certainly be called to account; 127 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 128 And We perpetuated to him (praise) among the later generations. 129 "Peace be on Elijah and his people!" 130 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). 131 He was among Our believing worshipers. 132 Lot, too, was among the Messengers. 133 When We rescued him and his entire household. 134 Except an old woman (who was) amongst those who tarried. 135 then We destroyed the others, 136 And indeed you pass over them in the morning. – 137 Or at night.
