Hizb 46
< random >
And Yunus was most surely of the apostles. 139 When he ran to the laden ship, 140 and cast lots, and was of the rebutted, 141 Then a (big) fish swallowed him and he had done an act worthy of blame. 142 And had he not been of those who exalt Allah, 143 He would have tarried in the belly thereof till the Day when they are raised. 144 ۞ So We cast him, sick, on a barren shore, 145 And We caused to grow, over him, a spreading plant of the gourd kind. 146 We sent him to a hundred thousand or more people. 147 and [this time] they believed [in him] and so We allowed them to enjoy their life during the time allotted to them? 148 Now, ask them, has your Lord daughters, and they sons? 149 Or created We the angels females while they were present? 150 No indeed! It is one of their fabrications when they say: 151 'Allah has begotten' They are truly liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters over sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How do you decide? 154 Then will you not be reminded? 155 Or have ye a clear warrant? 156 Produce, then, that divine writ of yours, if you are speaking the truth! 157 And they have invented a kinship between Him and the jinns, but the jinns know well that they have indeed to appear (before Him) (i.e. they will be brought for accounts). 158 Glory to Allah! (He is free) from the things they ascribe (to Him)! 159 But not so the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 160 So you and your deities 161 Not against Him can you cause (any) to fall into trial, 162 Save him Who is to roast in the Flaming Fire. 163 (Gabriel said to the Prophet): 'Each of us has a known place. 164 Verily, we (angels), we stand in rows for the prayers (as you Muslims stand in rows for your prayers); 165 And verily we! we hallow. 166 And there were those who said, 167 "If only we had a tradition [to this effect] from our forebears, 168 then were we God's sincere servants.' 169 They therefore denied it, so they will soon come to know. 170 We decreed that Our Messenger servants 171 will certainly be victorious 172 and Our host -- they are the victors. 173 So turn away from them for a while. 174 See them and soon they shall see. 175 Our torment seek they to hasten on! 176 When it lights in their courtyard, how evil will be the morning of them that are warned! 177 And turn away from them till a time 178 And see thou: they themselves shall presently see. 179 Hallowed be thine Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they ascribe! 180 And peace is upon the Noble Messengers. 181 And praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds! 182
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
