The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heaven and the Morning Star 1 And what can make you know what is the night comer? 2 The piercing star! 3 There is no soul but that it has over it a protector. 4 So let man consider of what he was created; 5 He is created of water pouring forth, 6 Emerging from between the backbone and the ribs. 7 Verily He is Able to restore him, 8 On the Day when secrets are disclosed, 9 Then man will have no power or any helper. 10 By the heaven which giveth the returning rain, 11 And by the Earth which opens out (for the gushing of springs or the sprouting of vegetation),- 12 Most surely it is a decisive word, 13 And it is not a thing for amusement. 14 Indeed, they are planning a plan, 15 And I am planning a scheme. 16 So grant the unbelievers a respite: let them alone for a while. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
