Hizb 46

AND, BEHOLD, Jonah was indeed one of Our message-bearers 139 He ran away to the laden ship, 140 and sailed away in a laden ship, wherein people cast lots. Because he lost, he was thrown into the water. 141 Then the fish swallowed him, while he was blameworthy. 142 And had he not been one of those who glorify (Allah) 143 he would certainly have remained inside the fish till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ We then put him ashore on a plain, and he was sick. 145 and We caused a pumpkin tree to grow over him. 146 And We sent him to [his people of] a hundred thousand or more. 147 and [this time] they believed [in him] and so We allowed them to enjoy their life during the time allotted to them? 148 Now ask thou them: are there for thy Lord daughters and for them sons? 149 Or did We make the angels females, and they witnessed it? 150 Then is it of their lying that they say: 151 'God has begotten?' They are truly liars. 152 "He has chosen daughters in preference to sons"! 153 Woe to you! How terrible is your Judgment. 154 Will you not, then, bethink yourselves? 155 “Or do you have some clear proof?” 156 Then bring your book, if you are truthful. 157 And they have invented a kinship between Him and the jinns, but the jinns know well that they have indeed to appear (before Him) (i.e. they will be brought for accounts). 158 Hallowed be Allah from that which they ascribe to Him. 159 all of them except the chosen servants of Allah. 160 So surely you and what you worship, 161 Cannot lead astray [turn away from Him (Allah) anyone of the believers], 162 except those who will burn in Hell. 163 None of us is there, but has a known station; 164 And verily we! we are ranged in ranks. 165 Verily, we (angels), we are they who glorify (Allah's Praises i.e. perform prayers). 166 They used to say before: 167 "If only we had a tradition [to this effect] from our forebears, 168 “We would certainly be the chosen bondmen of Allah.” 169 But (now) they disbelieve in it, so they will come to know. 170 And Our word has already preceded for Our servants, the messengers, 171 Most surely they shall be the assisted ones 172 And that Our forces,- they surely must conquer. 173 So turn thou from them for a while, 174 And watch, for they will (soon) see. 175 What, do they seek to hasten Our punishment? 176 When it descends on their courtyards, how terrible that morning will be for those who were warned! 177 And leave them for a time. 178 And see thou: they themselves shall presently see. 179 Too glorious is your Lord, the Lord of power, for what they ascribe to Him. 180 Peace be with the Messengers (of God). 181 It is only God, the Lord of the Universe, who deserves all praise. 182
God the Almighty always says the truth.
