Hizb 46

Jonah, too, was one of the Messengers. 139 He abandoned his people 140 and sailed away in a laden ship, wherein people cast lots. Because he lost, he was thrown into the water. 141 Then a (big) fish swallowed him and he had done an act worthy of blame. 142 Had he not been one of those who glorify Allah, 143 He would have remained inside its belly until the Day they are resurrected. 144 ۞ Then We cast him on to the vacant surface of the earth while he was sick. 145 And We caused to grow over him a gourd vine. 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand (folk) or more 147 And they believed, so We gave them provision till a time. 148 Now ask them (O Muhammad SAW): "Are there (only) daughters for your Lord and sons for them?" 149 Or that We created the angels female, and they are witnesses (thereto)? 150 Is it not a lie invented by them when they say: 151 "God has begotten [a son]"; and verily, they are lying [too, when they say,] 152 Has He (then) chosen daughters rather than sons? 153 Woe to you! How terrible is your Judgment. 154 Will ye not then receive admonition? 155 Or have ye a clear warrant? 156 Then bring your scripture, if what you say is true. 157 And they imagine kinship between him and the jinn, whereas the jinn know well that they will be brought before (Him). 158 limitless is God in His glory, above anything that men may devise by way of definition! 159 Except the chosen servants of Allah [who do not share in that sin]. 160 Wherefore verily neither ye nor that which ye worship, 161 you shall tempt none against Him 162 except those who are doomed to enter hell. 163 (Those ranged in ranks say): "Not one of us but has a place appointed; 164 we are those who stand ranged in ranks. 165 And indeed, we are those who exalt Allah." 166 And indeed, the disbelievers used to say, 167 "If we had a reminder as had the men of old (before the coming of Prophet Muhammad SAW as a Messenger of Allah). 168 “We would certainly be the chosen bondmen of Allah.” 169 They therefore denied it, so they will soon come to know. 170 And Our word has already preceded for Our servants, the messengers, 171 That undoubtedly, only they will be helped. 172 And that Our host, they verily would be the victors. 173 So turn thou away from them for a little while, 174 And watch, for they will (soon) see. 175 Do they want to hasten Our punishment? 176 When it descends upon their courtyards, evil will be the morning of those forewarned. 177 So turn away from them for a time 178 And see, for they are going to see. 179 Too glorious is your Lord, the Lord of power, for what they ascribe to Him. 180 And peace upon the messengers. 181 And praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds. 182
God the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
