In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
SAD. I CALL to witness the admonishing Qur'an. 1 But the Unbelievers (are steeped) in self-glory and Separatism. 2 How many did We destroy before them of the generations, then they cried while the time of escaping had passed away. 3 And they marvel that there should come unto them a warner from among themselves. And the infidels say: this is a magician and a liar! 4 Maketh he the gods One God? Verily that is a thing astounding! 5 And their leaders launch forth [thus]: "Go ahead, and hold steadfastly onto your deities: this, behold, is the only thing to do! 6 We have not heard of this in later religion. This is naught but an invention. 7 Can it be that he alone has received the Quran?" In fact, they have doubts about My Quran and this is because they have not yet faced (My) torment. 8 Do they possess the treasures of the mercy of your, (Muhammad's), Lord, the Majestic and Munificent God? 9 Have they control over heavens and earth and whatever [lies] between them? Then let them climb up to heaven by ropes: 10 This is just one of the disgraced armies, that will be routed there and then. 11 To the truth gave the lie aforetime Noah's people, and [the tribe of] Ad, and Pharaoh of the [many] tent-poles, 12 and the tribe of Thamud, and the people of Lot, and the dwellers of the Wood -- these were the confederates. 13 not one [was there] but gave the lie to the apostles - and thereupon My retribution fell due. 14

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
