And We have not created the heaven and the earth and all that is between them without purpose; this is what the disbelievers assume; therefore ruin is for the disbelievers, by the fire. 27 Or shall We make those who believe and do righteous deeds as the workers of corruption in the earth, or shall We make the godfearing as the transgressors? 28 It is a blessed Book which We have revealed for you so that you will reflect upon its verses and so the people of understanding will take heed. 29 And We gave unto David Solomon; how excellent a servant he was! He was a penitent. 30 When there were shown to him at eventide lightfooted coursers 31 And he said, "Truly do I love the love of good, with a view to the glory of my Lord,"- until (the sun) was hidden in the veil (of night): 32 [He said], "Return them to me," and set about striking [their] legs and necks. 33 And assuredly We tried Sulaiman, and set upon his throne a mere body. Thereafter he was penitent. 34 He said, 'My Lord, forgive me, and give me a kingdom such as may not befall anyone after me; surely Thou art the All-giver.' 35 So We subjected to him the wind, that ran at his commandment, softly, wherever he might light on, 36 And the shaitans, every builder and diver, 37 And others bound together in shackles. 38 "Such are Our Bounties: whether thou bestow them (on others) or withhold them, no account will be asked." 39 His reward will be nearness to Us, a good place to return to. 40
