1/2 Hizb 35
< random >
O Ye apostles! eat the good things and work righteously; verily of that which ye work I am the Knower. 51 Your nation is but one nation, and I am your Lord, therefore fear Me. 52 But then they divided up their order into different creeds, each section rejoicing in what it had come to have. 53 (Muhammad), leave them alone in their dark ignorance for an appointed time. 54 Do they think that by increasing their wealth and children 55 We vie in good works for them? Nay, but they are not aware. 56 Verily those who live in awe for fear of their Lord; 57 and who believe in their Sustainer's messages, 58 And those who ascribe not partners unto their Lord, 59 who spend their property for the cause of God, and whose hearts are afraid of their return 60 These hasten to good things and they are foremost in (attaining) them. 61 We do not impose on any soul what is beyond its capacity. We have the Book which speaks the truth and no injustice will be done to it. 62 Aye! their hearts are in bewilderment in respect thereof, and they have works beside that, of which they are workers. 63 Until, when We grasp those of them who lead a luxurious life with punishment, behold! They make humble invocation with a loud voice. 64 "Do not supplicate for help today; you will not be rescued by Us; 65 My Signs were rehearsed to you and you turned back on your heels and took to flight, 66 In pride (they Quraish pagans and polytheists of Makkah used to feel proud that they are the dwellers of Makkah sanctuary Haram), talking evil about it (the Quran) by night. 67 Do they not ponder over the Word (of Allah), or has anything (new) come to them that did not come to their fathers of old? 68 Or is it that they were unaware of their Messenger and were therefore repelled by him for he was a stranger to them? 69 Or do they say that he is possessed? In fact, he has brought the truth to them, but most of them abhor the truth. 70 If the Truth had been in accord with their desires, truly the heavens and the earth, and all beings therein would have been in confusion and corruption! Nay, We have sent them their admonition, but they turn away from their admonition. 71 Or is it that thou askest them for some recompense? But the recompense of thy Lord is best: He is the Best of those who give sustenance. 72 Indeed you are calling them to a Straight Path, 73 And most surely those who do not believe in the hereafter are deviating from the way. 74 ۞ If We had mercy on them and removed the distress which is on them, they would obstinately persist in their transgression, wandering in distraction to and fro. 75 We seized them with the punishment, but they did not surrender to their Lord, nor will they humble themselves 76 until We opened upon them the door of a severe chastisement. Then lo, in this state they become utterly despaired of any good. 77
