And remember Our servant Ayyub, when he called upon his Lord: The Shaitan has afflicted me with toil and torment. 41 'Stamp thy foot! This is a laving-place cool, and a drink.' 42 We restored his family to him with others similar to them, as a blessing from Us and a reminder for men of wisdom. -- 43 We told him, "Take a handful of straw. Strike your wife with it to fulfill your oath." We found him to be patient. What an excellent servant he was. He was certainly most repenting. 44 And remember Our servants -- Abraham, Isaac and Jacob -- they were endowed with great strength and vision. 45 Verily We did choose them for a special (purpose)- proclaiming the Message of the Hereafter. 46 And they are with Us, verily, of the chosen and the best! 47 Also, remember our worshipers Ishmael, Elisha, and ThulKifl, they are among the good. 48 This is a Reminder, and indeed for the cautious is a fine return, 49 Gardens of perpetual residence, whose doors will be opened to them. 50 wherein they recline, and wherein they call for fruits abundant, and sweet potions, 51 ۞ And with them are the pure spouses, who do not set gaze upon men except their husbands, of single age. 52 This it is that ye are promised for the Day of Reckoning. 53 Lo! this in truth is Our provision, which will never waste away. 54 This (for the virtuous); but for the transgressors the evil destination, 55 they will burn, in Hell, an evil resting place -- 56 Yea, such! - then shall they taste it,- a boiling fluid, and a fluid dark, murky, intensely cold!- 57 And other (torment) of the kind in pairs (the two extremes)! 58 Here is an army rushing blindly with you. (Those who are already in the Fire say): No word of welcome for them. Lo! they will roast at the Fire. 59 They will say: "In fact, it is you who will have no welcome. It is you who brought this upon us. What an evil place of rest!" 60 They will say: "Our Lord! whoever brought this upon us,- Add to him a double Penalty in the Fire!" 61 And they will say, "How is it that we do not see [here any of the] men whom we used to count among the wicked, 62 "Did we treat them (as such) in ridicule, or have (our) eyes failed to perceive them?" 63 This contending of the inmates of Hell will surely be real. 64
