۞ When the son of Mary was mentioned as an example, you people cried out in protest, saying, 57 And they say, “Are our deities better or he?” They did not say this to you except to unjustly argue; in fact they are a quarrelsome people. 58 He was no more than a servant (of Ours), one upon whom We bestowed Our favours and whom We made an example (of Our infinite power) for the Children of Israel. 59 Had We willed, We would have appointed angels among you to be successors in the earth. 60 And lo! verily there is knowledge of the Hour. So doubt ye not concerning it, but follow Me. This is the right path. 61 And let not Satan bar you [from it] - for, verily, he is your open foe! 62 When Jesus came with clear proofs (of Allah's Sovereignty), he said: I have come unto you with wisdom, and to make plain some of that concerning which ye differ. So keep your duty to Allah, and obey me. 63 God is your Lord and my Lord, so worship Him. This is the right path". 64 But the parties among them fell into variance; so woe unto those who did evil, because of the chastisement of a painful day. 65 They await but the Hour: that it should come upon them of a sudden, while they perceive not. 66 Close friends, that Day, will be enemies to each other, except for the righteous 67
