And assuredly We delivered the Children of Isra'il from an ignominous torment 30 From Fir'aun (Pharaoh); Verily! He was arrogant and was of the Musrifun (those who transgress beyond bound in spending and other things and commit great sins). 31 And We exalted them over the other people knowingly, 32 And We gave them portents wherein was a clear trial. 33 Lo! these, forsooth, are saying: 34 "There is nothing but our first death, and we shall not be resurrected. 35 "Then bring (back) our forefathers, if what ye say is true!" 36 Are they, then, better than the people of Tubba and those before them, whom We destroyed because they were truly lost in [the same] sin? 37 And We did not create the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, just for play. 38 We did not create them save with a purpose, yet most people have no knowledge of this. 39 The Day of Final Decision is the appointed time for all; 40 the day a master shall avail nothing a client, and they shall not be helped, 41 Except him on whom Allah has Mercy. Verily, He is the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 42
