Kneeling (Al-Jaatheyah)

37 verses, revealed in Mecca after Smoke (Al-Dukhaan) before The Dunes (Al-Ahqaaf)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Ha Mim. 1 The revelation of the Book is from Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Wise. 2 Indeed, within the heavens and earth are signs for the believers. 3 in your own creation and all the creatures He has spread about, there are signs for people of sure faith; 4 As there are signs in the alternation of night and day, and in rain that God sends with which He revives the earth once dead, as there are in the changing of the winds, for people who can understand. 5 These are Allah's Signs that We rehearse to you in Truth. In what kind of discourse after Allah and His Signs will they, then, believe? 6 Woe unto every sinful self-deceiver 7 He hears the revelations of God which are recited to him, then persists in his arrogance as if he had not even heard them. Tell him that he will suffer a painful torment. 8 And when he learns something of Our Signs, he takes them in jest: for such there will be a humiliating Penalty. 9 There is Hell before them; and whatever they have earned will not avail them in the least, nor those whom they take as friends apart from God. There is great chastisement for them. 10 Such is Our guidance; those who reject their Lord's revelations shall suffer a woeful punishment. 11
